- Large lots, ensuring low-density housing — to protect the forest and provide you with greater privacy
- Limited clearing of trees, in an effort to maintain the mature forestation and natural landscape. Clearing is restricted to only that which is absolutely necessary to build homes, driveways, access roads and outbuildings. Cutting of trees with trunks larger than 4” in diameter also requires permission from the Homeowner Association Board.
- Restrictions against the use of chemicals and pesticides, which can be toxic to both the environment and to residents
Additionally, we recommend that River Bend homeowners consider installing a geothermal heat pump system using vertical closed loop design. This is the most energy- and cost-efficient system available today for an all electric service area. WaterFurnace, Inc. of Indiana is one recommended manufacturer. The company's Envision geothermal heat pump is the most efficient geothermal heat pump on the market today making it environmentally friendly and cost-effective.
